The quality of Mountain Valley Spring Water begins with the natural spring source the company has utilized and carefully protected since 1871. No activities are allowed on the 2,000 acres of forest land protecting our watershed other than those relating to the bottling of premium spring water products.
The water flowing from the natural spring is tested daily by quality control staff, monthly by the Arkansas Department of Health, annually by the National Sanitation Foundation, and periodically by other governmental bodies and private companies using the products.
Everything coming into contact with Mountain Valley Spring water, including the stainless steel holding tanks, piping, bottles and caps is carefully tested daily.
Calvin Coolidge was the first American president to serve Mountain Valley Spring Water in the White House. Following a heart attack in 1955, President Dwight Eisenhower drank the water on the advice of his physician. Other notable connoisseurs of the water included Elvis Presley and boxing champions Joe Louis, Gene Tunney, and Sugar Ray Robinson. Consumption of the water has not been limited to humans: thoroughbreds such as Secretariat, Nashua, Kelso, Bold Ruler, and Sunday Silence were trained on this famous spring water.
